Peace Poster Contest – Lions Club
For the first time in the Lions club’s history and partnering with The Mount Vernon Area Arts Council, they have decided to participate in the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. The Peace Poster Contest was created in 1988 to give young people ages 11-13, the opportunity to creatively express their feelings for world peace and to share their visions with the world. Approximately 600,000 children from 75 countries participate in the contest annually. This years theme is “Kindness Matters.” We are looking forward to what are students in the middle school will create.
MVAAC will provide for the judging using the established rules of the organization. The winning poster will be displayed at Mount Vernon Creates following this process. Judging is planned for Oct 29th.
