Registration Now Open for Portrayal of Mount Vernon
Mount Vernon Creates, the local art gallery and event space, is expanding their annual plein air event and moving it to the spring. This year’s Portrayal of Mount Vernon event will showcase artists working in photography, painting, sculpture and other visual mediums, as they create their unique works of art in various public locations throughout the city of Mount Vernon.
Typically held on a single day in the fall, this year’s event will take place in April and will be held across two days in various parks, sidewalks, and even the Cornell Campus. Due to covid concerns, artists will wear masks and will be spread out to keep any one location from gathering a large crowd. The artwork created during the event will be showcased at Mount Vernon Creates in June and July.
