We believe the arts are the cornerstone of what makes the Mount Vernon area such a great place to live and visit. Our two annual events, Lincoln Highway Arts Festival and Chalk the Walk, draw over 30,000 visitors stimulating the local creative economy. The arts improve the image and identity of our community through creative placemaking and public art. In addition, arts programs help to unify our communities regardless of age, race, gender, or class; positively impact our education system; and improve the overall health of our citizens. Investing in the arts, is a real investment in the Mount Vernon area.

Your generous gift directly stimulates the booming creative economy in the Mount Vernon area, through our support of public art, arts-based events, and arts education. If you have more questions about donating, please contact us.

Mount Vernon Area Arts Council is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

“MVAAC helped make the 2019 production of The Hundred Dresses, a play for children, accessible to the deaf community by donating funds to hire American Sign Language interpreters for one of the matinee performances.”
